That being said...... im getting a cam installed within the next few months so take what I say with a grain of salt. Im also doing it right and planning ahead for my future build. Cam package, push rods, dual springs, Frankenstein heads hoping for over 500 wheel
Cool! Cam that baby!! And for getting to over 500 wheel NA'd, good luck with that one, unless you're building a stroker, but you MIGHT see it with those heads. That is the only thing that is still stock on my build, didn't have the bucks to do them at the time, now it would not be cost effective for the small gain. I am knocking on the door to possibly, maybe right at 500 wheel, maybe a tad short with my next mod, boring out the LOD manifold snout to 103mm and installing my new Nick Williams 103mm TB. Should be close they tell me.

Sitting at a red light with your car visibly rocking back and forth “blub blub blub blub blub”

That never gets old.

The only thing I regret is that since my cam swap my cam position sensor connector comes loose on occasion and won't let me start my car when it does. I'm guessing something got pulled during the install and so it doesn't like to sit perfect 100% of the time anymore. Other than that I love it.

At Florida Speed and Power (FSP) my car dynod 416 stock. At some other local shop it dynod 414 with an intake and high flow cats pulling out 5 dgrees of timing. That setup my PB was 12.89@111.9mph with a 1800DA. At Redline after headers, intake and rod mod i dynod 462. My fastest pass is with the current setup is 12.67@113 in 2100 DA. Corrected DA would have been a 12.2 pass. I feel like 40 wheel with a cam and heads is 100% doable. With how well my car performs on track, street and on the dyno I'd be disappointed if it didn't break 500 wheel.

There have been some cars that crack that 500 mark and im hoping my car is one of them but you're absolutely right. 500 wheel is an extremely rough goal.

Love your build if I haven't told u already. Your car is CLEAN.

I think with any cam upgrade (unless just really small) you would benefit from a converter but I'm not sure because I don't have one. And then you have the gas mileage to think about because I don't really remember what I was getting around town before but what I do know is that now it really drinks a lot of gas around town/city driving. But as InFiD3ViL was saying you do get a lot of attention. Everywhere I stop somebody has to complement on my car. Oh and on the tune. For the most power you can squeeze out of it I would definitely recommend a dyno tune over a remote tune because I know from experience that it makes a pretty big difference.

But as far as regret, I don't think so, I would definitely do it again and would never go back to a stock cam.
I have the same cam and feel the exact same way. My wife hates the car with the cam. She can’t stand the bucking and doesn’t like to go out in it. That is not necessarily a bad thing though. No one to complain about my driving and telling me to slow down. Go to car shows and always get compliments on the sound. Cam with long tubes, straight pipes with the NPP exhaust. 👍😀

Try this for the connector, next time you have to plug it back in when it comes lose, put a dab of silicone sealant on the outside of it where it connects and when it sets it will stay there. Just a thought.

Wow your car put down some nice numbers !! Maybe I need to take mine to Redline and have them do the tune after I do the TB and bore the manifold snout. I have a friend who took his Camaro to them and had a Whipple stage 3 build done to it. Very nice outcome, the car is amazing... Thanks for the compliment on my Camaro build, I appreciate that. I NEVER dreamed I would have gone as far as I did with it otherwise I would have done a build thread. lol. It just happened..

I was really surprised honestly. I was expecting 430-445 like a typical manual 13-15 would put out. I think I just have one of those "factory freaks".

Everybody on here says run it at the track well I have and the power is right on with the time.
