Camaro Had a Bad Day
I figured id post this, as I havent been on here in a bit, and gives me a place to keep track of this. While turning into my apartment complex, my car started to jerk suddenly and the "service stabilitrak" came on. The car then started making a loud knocking noise that I couldnt tell if it was coming from the engine or the rear end. For sure though the car then felt like it was in 6th gear. After parking and turning it off I called up GM service to tow her to the dealer. Since it is Friday, I have to wait till possibly Monday to get it looked at. So I will update as I know more about it. As of now she is dead in the water.

Total bummer and I know how you must feel. It'll be alright, cars under warranty and it will be fixed up as good as new, maybe better.

I had something similar happen to me. Ten bucks says it's a loose coil pack wire, causing a misfire which in turn leads to stabilitrac/traction control lights.
Hope it works out for you.

I am thinking the same thing, you shouldn't worry, the warranty should be covering it.

Thanks for the support guys! I hope its something simple like that. Had a scare a long while ago with my 01 mustang shutting off on highway, turned out to be melted O2 sensor.

Sorry to hear. I just had the same symptons. I mechanically over revved the engine. Bent 6 exhaust valves. Car was down for 5 days and is all better now.

Hopefully it's alright, I had the same issue with the coils as mentioned above, easy fix and warrantied. So hopefully it's that and not something worse

Well it seems that it was a broken valve spring. The dealer is ordering the replacement as well as a new cylinder supposedly. Sigh...about a week he said at worst case, but should all be under warranty since I (luckily) havent touched the engine. Not sure which cylinder got messed up as a result though
