I don’t have knowledge of the A8 trans as I have had in my 2 6gens the M6 6 speed but I do know the LT1 has a slight noticeable idle in Park and Drive as compared to other engines. From what you have told us about the car seems as if there’s nothing really wrong and with only a little 10,000 miles it is good to go!

Why is it hard to believe? Mine is a 2016 SS with just 3,100 miles LOL. Purchased by me in 16 btw.

I guess if you don’t daily drive yours then sure but my 2016 SS had about 30,000 miles on it when I traded it in on my used 2017 ZL1 back in March. I just can’t use my ZL1 as a weekend toy because I enjoy driving it and don’t mind using it as a DD! I do have a 2005 Silverado that shares daily driving duties with the ZL1 though!

Thats the only explanation I could find for the one I saw. 10k miles in 4 years is impossible to be daily driven. I dont even drive that much but I put 31k miles in 3 years on my grand cherokee. Unfortunately, I dont have luxury to not DD this camaro so Ill be putting on as many miles in a year probably. Hopefully all goes well, thanks to all of you for your input once again, this forum is very helpful!

Thumbs up

Camaros are great cars. Both my 5th gen '14 ZL1 and my 6th gen '16 SS have been flawless, very dependable cars. Just verify that the A8 transmission is in good working conditions or if you prefer get instead the trusted M6 transmission. Go for the SS you would enjoy it more, is a better performance car compared to the 6 cyl Camaro.

For example I have 4 cars. I drive mine as much as anything else. So it’s sort of daily driven but only 12.5K miles on it. I bought it new.

Awesome! Got to love the bright yellow 6th gen camaros.

I bought my 2016 2SS used in March of this year with 9,800 miles on it. Do your homework and read up on the A8 shudder and rear differential groan and you’ll be good. Just know that you might have these issues and have a Chevy dealership take care of them.

Congrats dude

You will love it.

But 10k is pretty low for a 2016. I have a 2018 ZL1 that I bought new and I already have 14k on mine. I have had it for 1 year and 8 months now.

I have a quick question for you guys, who had a similar issue. So I love the car and everything but as I said I did notice that little tiny whistling sound coming from driver's side when driving at higher speeds (mostly 50-60+). I read that, such issue is usually caused by mirrors? I dont know how true that is and also I already left a deposit so I would not even know what to say to the dealer when I get back? Should I ask him to fix it or ? Any suggestions ? Thanks

Also, if I was to just suck it up for now, how much would it cost to replace a mirror or whatever it needs to be done to fix it in the future?

It could definitely be the mirror, usually fixable by reattaching the mirror body or (in the case of my previous 6th gen Camaro) tucking away the wiring harness inside the mirror, but understand no one can reliably troubleshoot over the internet I only got the whistle between ~35 and ~45 mph on that car.

I'd tell the dealer about it, maybe take the sales guy for a short drive and demonstrate, then get them to commit to a fix. This should not be a major deal. If the car is CPO (certified pre-owned), you'll get a 12-month bumper to bumper warranty that will certainly cover the mirror if it's at fault; not sure what happens if it's just a normal used car, I never bought any non-CPO car from a dealer.
