I attached third rod, center of the spliiter, to my crash bar. Without down force was so great that I would touch down the splitter. Granted I an STANDING on the brakes @ 150.

Doesn't appear so

One thing crossed my mind, has anyone installed an APR wing on a ZL1 1LE trunk? These trunks apparently have more bracing from the factory to prevent the sort of thing you guys are seeing with your APR wings on normal trunks. APR even states the ZLE has a different part number... I wonder if it wouldnt dent my trunk?

All 2018 SS (non-1LE) and ZL1 coupes got the adhesive / beta patch reinforced trunks under new PN 84568190.

I'd be a another buyer for the larger bases for the APR wing. I have some time. My car is put away for the winter, but it'd be nice to get something in place before my trunk lid is damaged in the spring.

Has anyone ever seen/tried a DIY front splitter? A buddy of mine made his own out of 1/2" plywood with chassis mounted supports/mounts (for an E46 M3). No real data on performance, but it seems to be effective if not pretty. And it only cost him $40 in materials.

I have a plywood splitter on my turbo Miata race car. Works perfectly.

I emailed Ryan at APR today. Apparently they have new "reinforcement plates" for our cars. I'm still in the process of trying to figure out how to order them. My original order was through one of their resellers, so that is complicating things at the moment.

Someone should data log before and after ride height sensor data to see how balanced these “tested” aero combos are at different speeds.

Seems like a good idea, but I think the balance depends heavily on how the wings are positioned and what combination of aero components are installed.

GM provides the big red easy button with the ZL1 1LE aero components, but they're not nearly as aggressive as the APR.

My thought was to get the more aggressive aero and then find the balance through adjustments. It would be awesome though if APR had more data showing what combinations of components for the Camaro could be used to create a balanced setup.

I was thinking the ride height sensor data is available through standard PIDs. I think it's logged in the 2018+ PDR metadata as well. I'd have to check though... I might be confusing it with something else.
