Wideband

Where is the best place to mount a wideband where it will not interfere with the O2 sensor?

New to FI, Tnks!

Thanks Ted.

Your off road pipes should arrive today. I’m guessing they don’t have an extra bung for the wideband? In which case I’ll repeat this process.

no but you can now use one of the rear ports.

Your install looks good. Very interested in installing sensor in same location. What is involved in removing the passenger side catalytic converter?

Does it require unbolting both sides at the factory header and dropping down or do you have to remove more of the exhaust system to remove the cat?

I don't have a lift and will have to remove this on jack stands. Any instructions will be appreciated.

Shouldn't the WB be setup on the Drivers side for Bank 1 or does it not matter?

Good question. Might be a question for Ted.

Only reason I am picking the passenger side is because the drivers side doesn't have much room. On the passenger side, the existing O2 sensor is mounted in the flange and the pipe is open to put in the wideband. On the driver side, the O2 sensor in already located in the pipe and doesn't give much of an option for a wideband.

Why a narrow and wide band vs one or the other?
I understand the pros to going with the wide band over the narrow band.
Is the ECM seeing both or is it just used for tuning?

Does not matter, what ever side gives you the clearance you need.
