Under drive pulley on na and no cam?
Not bein lazy.. I’ve searched and searched and can’t find a confirmed answer.. is there anything to b had by doing the ati under drive pulley(or even upper)? Specifically on na M6 with e85, roto fab, ported tb , secondary delete, (ported Im soon) ... doing little by little adding what I can here and there. Not planning on doing headers or cat delete at the moment... other then head porting is there anything else I can do to add a lil more?

You will be happy with adding the ATI. The internet won’t advocate.
Manual cars see a big difference in nvh as well as the acceleration and increased engine durability. There’s no converter to work as a damper. Ppl lie to themselves and won’t do the ati on m6 bolt on cars. It’s strange ATI and ported intake are no negative trade off, only positive mods. Ones to do first no doubt |

Great, now I want one too! Lol This install isn't to diy er friendly is it? Would you suggest that if I had issues installing the headers that I shouldn't attempt this install? I have no shops in my town that work on newer lt1's. I really want one, but the install looks a little daunting.

So I hit up ATI and said I’ve been getting 2 different answers from people.. asked if it were true if swapping out the underdrive pulley would add atleast a couple extra hp and he said “not true”.. waiting for response with more clarification of overal actual benefits of it

That's strange, can't wait to hear the responses.

Basic logic says anything that reduces rotational weight on the drivetrain should reduce parasitic loss to the wheels. How much? Probably so little that the $500+ cost for damper, belt, and bolt aren’t really justified when compared to big HP jobs like cam/heads or FI. That being said, I see a lot of blowers either come with or offer the option of an ATI. Either way, I plan on one. Just not sure if it’s worth doing before a SC or just do it as part of the install. I emailed my tuner that very question a few hours ago, interested in his response.

In all honesty, I would wait until you do a camshaft. No use in taking off the pulleys twice. I don't think you would notice much from it by itself.

I would think you 1LE guys would be all over this mod on a stock motor, but seems not one has it.

It's worth about +10whp. There is a thread on it from a couple years ago when guys were really pushing these cars for every last drop of power in bolt-on form.

We have already voided our powertrain with other bolt ons lol. I agree though, if you havent voided your warranty, it probably isnt worth it.

You gotta do it if ya wanna be "full bolt on" FBO FTW! I plan to in the near future, like you, piece by piece. Didn't help that I traded my 17 that I took 2.5 years of saving to do most bolt ons. I'm not sure what the FBO list consists of anymore though.

I guess I’m coming at it from the other end thinking it’s a mod you can do without tune and voiding the warranty.

I feel like this mod could go either way. Some dealers could probably find a way to void it, others might be lenient. Im just not prepared to touch it and find out the hard way if i have to go on for warranty work. Lol
