Brembos are currently optional on the V6. Likely they are just showing optional content.

Rally green to me sounds like a very bright light green. What you posted would be similar to what Chevy used to have on the trucks and it was forest green.

How can you see all the options and select what you want if the configurator is not online? Or is it thru the dealer?

Well, let's think about this. They have to build the LT1 with parts currently in use, or it would cut into profits. They took the SS front wheels, and put them on the back. They used the RS tires. They used the 1LT interior. They used the base car bumper. The only other brakes they have are considerably smaller for the 4 cylinder and V6, and 18" wheels. The V8 weighs 250 pounds more than a V6, and produces 50% more power. Those little brakes would be overwhelmed in no time, and downright dangerous. Also they would look really stupid in a 20" wheel. The only other brakes they have are the Brembos for the SS.

In addition, if they did not use the SS Brembos, they would have to revalidate the brake package with the much bigger engine. That costs money, and they would not have that many units to spread the cost over.

The press release isn't necessarily 100% inclusive of all the changes, but there was no mention of a brake change from the SS. My guess is the cooling systems for the engine, trans, and differential are the same, too. Otherwise, they would have to revalidate those, too.

Interesting. GM usually matches the suspension to the weight and h/p. So should have the 1ss suspension?? So what are they leaving off the 1ss to get to this price point? Wheels, tires and …….

If one want leather, wheels, tires ,exhaust etc...it can all be added as time and budget allows. Probably MRC would be the most $$ prohibitive to add...

The V6 1Le has the SS suspension already so i'm thinking the LT1 will offer something new . To me it don't make a lot of sense getting the LT1 and loading it with options ,it will be best as is and adding after market parts.

The V6 1LE suspension might have the same option code as the SS suspension (FE3), but can't have the SS suspension. The two cars have a completely different weight balance.

They will have to retune the LT1, too, because the rear tires are smaller, and the tires are all season vs. summer only.

I'm going to suggest the new LT1 will be much less equipped suspension-wise, brakes-wise, coolers-wise, etc., than the current SS. Also, it will not be touted as a track-capable car of any kind, other than perhaps smoking the tires off of the rear. Maybe the fronts will be Brembos, but not the rear. It needs to be less than the SS. I'm surprised they even went with 20" wheels and tires.....It's a V-8 on a budget...Street cruiser, light to light racer, and V-8 rumble only....I don't think the SS will have any loss of sales. If anything it will have buyers who couldn't afford an SS and who did not want a V-6 or I-4.

It will be interesting to see how this works out and how it is equipped/limited compared to the SS.

IMO it will be the closest thing to an actual "muscle car" than any of the previous 5th or 6th Gen Camaros yet. Good times.

It's a stretch, but here's what I sort of compare it to...

No, the SS style looks better than the LT1.
