Speed Engineering Valve covers

Just looking for feedback from anyone that has seen or owns a pair. Looking at getting a pair of the black ones when we put the 2650 on

The OEM valve covers are unequaled in design as far as preventing oil ingestion. Look at how they have complete baffles the entire bottom side to keep oil from slinging up and out like the aftermarket ones. And then the coalescing and condensing chambers and screens. The super low profile also do not allow enough room for the rocker arms to avoid windage caused parasitic loss from oil splashing back onto them.

Weapon X has the best baffled aftermarket covers, but again, none come close to the OEM design that is GM's best design to date addressing most of the past issues:

So if you're dead set on aftermarket covers, make sure they have full length baffles. Will save you headaches in the future.

Thanks for the info. Maybe I will just get the factory ones painted then.

That baffling (or, perhaps, lack thereof) is what kept me from going that way, and just chopping mine up. It wasn't that hard, and they came out pretty good. I figure with my catch can and the OEM covers, I should be in good shape. I've only seen videos of the undersides of those covers, but I wasn't too keen.

Shame Speed E went so far in the design and stopped. They look nice.

I have them, have not installed yet. So apparently they’re junk. . Lol

- I just took a look, they’re baffled at the Pvc section
