I drive mine year round, but in the winter usually not until the roads are plowed and dry, though I do sometimes drive in packed snow before the plows and salters are out: traction and stability control off in an empty parking lot!
I get the Blizzaks installed as late as possible, on their own black alloy rims with black lug nuts (not ugly steel wheels); generally in mid-December and they're off by the end of March. Pic shows what they look like installed. My Camaro though black and with tints, is not the one pictured. I had to go down 3 sizes to 225/60R17 from 245/40R20 to get hub-centric wheels with the same offset as stock, and with the narrower width so the tires don't "float" over the snow. I've surprised a few drivers in 4X4 SUVs with all-seasons on packed snow, as I pulled away from them in my rearview mirror from a standing start. :-) |

I'm pretty bummed. I tucked mine away the end of Oct right before my shoulder surgery. I figured for sure by the time my shoulder was healed up enough to drive we'd have snow and/or salt & brine on the roads. Well here it is Dec 1st. No snow, no salt/brine and the extended forecast is still in the mid to upper 40's. I could of easily got a few more weeks or cruising in. hindsight right. Had I not put it away then we would have had snow/salt and I would of been stuck trying to put it away in the crap.
Spring is a long ways away. :-( |

Yeah, I'm a little surprised with the winter so far. I don't know if that means we have a good one coming or if it will be a mild year. Look at it as you played it safe (and it worked out) versus being stuck in crap. I've said before - that is why mine has basically been parked for a couple of weeks already. It is spotless and I don't want to be stuck trying to put it away clean when its a mess outside |

I live in Florida but mine typically is parked 350 days a year due to work and family time.

I don't store it anymore since I escaped from NY, but it hasn't been out of the garage since Oct 31. I need to get out more

Yes, and it definitely wouldn't be fun. That makes for a bigger hassle yet. Mine is at least parked at home.

Virginia doesn't have winters, I DD all my cars, even RWD. Little bit nervous about my first high-power car, but plows are quick and my commute is short.

Of course, the electronic nannies help, but be gentle with all control inputs, especially your right foot, and you should be fine.

That is the plan, all my friends refer to my driving as very safe/cautious - I don't even speed at all. I am 100% sure I'll be fine, besides by the time it snows (if it even does) I will be more used to the car/power.
