another DRL thread
Chevrolet Camaro 2013 2LT RS
Not the original owner of this car. Never seen them turned on. Tried everthing. even checked the dash/control center settings to see if they could be turned on and off. Before taking off fender liners and under bumper liners i want to clarify things, this car should have DRL installed from the factory, correct. if this is correct, I must now determine why they are not working, (fuses, relays, bulbs). after reading some of the threads about DRL, could even be unplugged. CHEF-BEAVIS, I hope you dont mid me using your picture Maybe I should have edited the picture better, are those the DRL's, are those the HALO's. I am unclear. The ones I have labeled DRL's have never been seen on. Last edited by NSTAG8R; 10-22-2019 at 10:15 AM. Reason: clarifications |

The DRL's on my car are the Halo's, not the fog lights.

The ones labeled on the photo as DRL are actually your fog lights. There should be a toggle on the headlight switch to turn them on if so equipped.

That may be the case for the 2014 but the OP has a 2013. I too have a 2013 2LT with the RS package and mine are the DRL's. I have my headlight switch in the "AUTO" position so the DRL's only come on once i put the car in gear. OP - try putting your headlights on manually. The DRL's should come on otherwise you may have bad bulbs or wiring.

Caniac27 Will do!! The headlight knob usually stays in "Auto". I will check that once again before I move on to what Baldman suggested.
Will check plugs and bulbs also. It seems like this may be a simple fix. if it is a bad bulb, any suggestion on regular bulbs or some good LED bulbs? |

Matches the headlights and Halo's better.

Well, both bulbs work. I did not check for 12 volts at the plug. I did find a small black box with a red wire hooked into the fuse box. I also had a ribbon wire the ran behind the radiator. I did not want to go any further until I figured out what this box is and what the ribbon wire goes to.
Will post the picture when figure how to from my iPhone.

Looks like a LED controller box of some sort, usually LED wiring is thin like that, just a guess anyhow.
