Post your snow stories and pics!
Made it to and from Tim Hortons in a couple of inches. Winter tires (235-55-18 Michelin X-Ice) and snow/ice mode did great! I couldn't get sideways if I wanted to. I have a lot of confidence in this car for the winter.

This is mine in the Canadian winter. The funnest part is drifting into my parking spot in front of my house.

After doing some stress test god my car over the last few days, the car in sport mode (on a SS model) once spinning will hold indefinitely the RPMS at 800 with the pedal completed pressed to the floor, IN SPORT MODE!

Obviously is not wise to drive a RWD car on the snow.

I haven't driven in snow but so far the tires seem to be fine below freezing. I agree with tophatplus that the rubber compound isn't an extreme summer type. I will avoid snow but otherwise I'm going to use the car in the cold temps. You lose some traction but not enough to make the car dangerous. I had other cars in the past that felt really hairy with summer tires (SRT Charger and Mustang GT).

Same here, I've driven a Camaro all year for the past 4 years. All you need is proper tires and experience. It's really easy to drive, the only issue is ground clearance. I don't want to tear up my front bumper.

Drove mine all last winter and happily moved the Equinox out of the way today just so I could get the Camaro in the snow, lol.
As long as you have the right tires, these really drive very well in the snow. These are not the RWD cars of yesterday, I had some of those and they were very easy to get sideways and get stuck but as long as you don't turn off the nannies on these they handle well. |
