The GM intake is the same as the CAI intake. GM has not been able to get it to pass 50 state emissions and is having trouble getting 37 state approved. I am starting to think we will see the 7th gen Camaro before we see that intake system.

I don't think there the same thing the mass air flow sensors are not even in the same spot, and the cold air inductions filters do not come in blue, I think they different.

I am fairly certain they are licensing the design from CAI. Just a guess, but the design and housing is about 100% the same.

Come on Sledge...they don't even come in blue. What more proof do you need?

Wow...figured the sarcasm was pretty evident...but, yes, that was a joke. Understand that changing the color is simple...hence, the joke

So are the CAI and rotofab 50 states legal? I payed for the GM intake already so hopefully they do get it together I don't want a refund I want the imaginary intake lol

Makes yeah wonder if they do it on purpose to get the mod heads out of the way so they lose there warranty I know far fetched but this is a crazy world and some things go deeper then some may think . Lol

Im with you. Im going gm, it may seem funny about the filter color but the wrong color could get your warranty voided. NOW THAT'S EVEN MORE FUNNY

Without a proper relearn you have to take the results to back to back testing with a grain of salt.

I proved the ECU issue in many of my tests by doing a forced re-learn by resetting the ECU with my HP Tuner. Once I did that, the car was run for 50 miles and then strapped to a dyno. Thankfully weather here in SoCal has been persistent and cool, so results over a full day are within 2 degrees of each other, and all tests were done on a car that was heated up (No unicorn runs here). I did a test where we added the Stock, box back on to the car after a few different relearns and CAI's and the stock box would put down 10+ hp over its original runs. Once the relearn was applied it would default to its original numbers we saw.
In your testing, did the Roto-fab system continue to show great numbers even after a thorough re-learn?

Don't you think there would be a separate part number on the blue filter? If so, get the CAI and buy a blue filter. If and when they release them, someone needs to tell us where the GM part number is. I would wonder if it's stamped indelibly on the housing somewhere. If not, I bet a dealership wouldn't know a genuine GM item from a CAI.

why does everyone have all the warranty questions? wouldn't you just simply put your factory intake back on if you needed to take it to GM service for anything?
