Question NPP "Fuse 51" does it make a difference?

I've got a 2020 2SS, I've "locked" the "Engine Sound" in "Track Mode" via the Entertainment screen, will pulling "Fuse 51" make any difference in sound? I would assume "Track Mode Exhaust" would be the valves wide open all the time, but I really don't know for sure...

Anyone???

On the 2016-2018, track mode still closes the valves at low to normal highway speeds and rpm's, while the fuse pull physically keeps them open at all times. I'd think this behavior is the same with the 2019+ model years.

It got a bit annoying for me with the fuse pulled. I noticed no benefit. It removes the slight drone sound at freeway speed and the really loud pops at slower speeds. I like the pops but its a lot. Try it out see what you care for. But otherwise no it did not make a significant difference.

Thanks for the feedback, I like the ability to change the mode but thought if it would be more "aggressive" with the fuse pulled it might be worth it... Doesn't sound like it makes much difference on the 2019-2020...

I like it a lot more with the fuse pulled as up to 3000 rpms in track it used to be too quiet, it almost sounded weird how only past that point it became noticeable. Sure the option to choose exhaust mode is nice, but personally I never found myself changing exhaust mode ever and always had it in track anyway.

In track mode the valves are wide open except for around 900 to 1400 rpms in 5th and 6th gear for a manual. Not sure what it is for an auto, but likely similar. It also closes a little in neutral above 2700 rpms. That's what you gain with the fuse pull. Some highway speed drone.

This. I pulled the fuse and put it back in after my first highway cruise. I don't like or want highway drone. I've had mine locked on Track exhaust mode (Sport for everything else) for almost four years. Its the perfect amount of sound for me. Loud when I want it (ripping through the gears) and quiet when I want it (highway cruising).

OP: Try it - many love it - only you will know if its right for you after you try it.

I pulled the fuse when I bought the car and never put it back in again.

Mine is pulled now. Little louder at cold start, nothing noticeable while driving. I will reinstall fuse after header install though. Long tubes and NPP will be rowdy with E85

This is what I've been doing, Exhaust locked in Track, everything else in Sport and have been driving my A10 mostly in manual mode...

I'll give the fuse pull a try and see what I think...

Yep, if I crank mine with the valves open it physically startles people if they are near it (made a kid start crying in the wal mart parking lot once - sorry kid). You also want to be able to tone it down if there is any LEO nearby.

The great thing is that you can change how the NPP functions in your tune. I have mine set to be closed (basically stealth mode) in Snow/Ice and Tour, and 100% open all of the time in Sport and Track. I pretty much turned the mode switch into a push button cutout switch. It's prefect for me. You can also get rid of that cold start super loud crank. Nice for leaving the house and neighborhood at 4:15 every morning.

ya IMO the valves slightly close, because it would otherwise be annoying.
Cold start is the same. I was hoping this would make the difference of me wanting an aftermarket exhaust but it didint. The biggest difference I noticed is just putting some miles on the car. Now at 2kmiles the exhaust is a bit louder and deeper. Good luck, post your results

I pulled my fuse when I bought it. I like the loud crackle when I fire it up.
