ZL11LE wheels on Z28 - does it work?

Would the original wheels of the ZL1 1LE fit on our Z28?
The dimensions at the front are identical. So it should fit in the front easily, right? And the rear?

If it does not fit easily, is there any solution for that? Has anyone tried that?

Z/28
F 19x11 +11 305/30/19
R 19x11.5 +32.25 305/30/19

ZL1 1LE
F 19x11 +11 305/30/19
R 19x12 +41 325/30/19

use this tool to understand the size variance with the rear
https://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp

Additionally a few people have reports with different size tires on the rear v the front, the Z/28 traction control, ABS, Stability systems get upset

As far as I know on a Z/28 the front and the rear is different in rim size. Tires are the same, but the rims are different. Front is 19"x11" (48.26 cm x 27.94 cm) rear is 19"x11.5" (48.26 cm x 29.21 cm) and they can not interchange front to rear or rear to front. I've had first hand experience with this at a tire shop. Where they mistaken and installed rear to the front. Bunch of "Scheisse Kopf"

This old thread might help. Good luck.

Besides why would you want to change out the Z/28 wheels for ZL1. Original Z rims are hard to get.

He was asking about ZL1 1LE 6th gen. wheels, not the 5th gen ZL1.

YES - not from the ZL1, from the ZL1 1LE 6th Gen.!

Thanks for this site, Jon.

If I understand correctly, I need a spacer that is 15 mm wide. Or what do you mean?

I have no insight into 6th gen ZLE wheels but I am running 305s front and 325s rear with no issues.

Because the backspace of the 1LE wheel is 15 mm deeper.

I see what you mean now... 207-191=16mm. Don't pay attention to that measurement though.

Just pay attention to offset

The z/28 owner above runs 325s without issue he says, with his +32.25 oem z/28 wheels. So with 325s on a +41, that's roughly 9mm closer to the inside of the wheel well. However as the pics show of the calculator, the tire is flush with the opening of the wheel well. So you don't want to go too far more outwards. I doubt you need a full 9mm, if at all. Start with 3-5mm. You'll be fine

Jon, this is the result from the calculator from your page:
Inner Clearance: the same
Outer Position: the same

Does that mean that I do not need any spacers?
Would it fit easily?
