Are High flow valves worth it for catch can install?

Hey everyone, so I was wondering if high flow valves are worth it if you install a catch can on your car and do they provide much better flow.* To be clear this thread is not if you need a catch can, but if you decide to get one, are the high flow valves really worth it? I tested 3 valves, one of which was the Elite Engineering.* The results were surprising and I'll save you the trouble of you don't want to watch the video, but in a nutshell I think these high flow valves are worth it.* Also full disclaimer here folks, I'm not associated with Elite in any way and bought the valves with my own money, so there is no sponsorship.

Just curious, what is your application?

I just installed a Elite Engineering E2 Dual port on my LT1.
EE said I do not need any check valves.

I'm installing them on my LT4 so because its a boosted engine they are needed. You are right on your LT1 they are not needed as you are vacuum only. I had an apex catch can on my LT4 and I will be putting the E2-X on and filming it. I'm also going to do a comparison to see how well the Elite works.

If you are boosted and need a check valve that video sums it up nicely.

Now I'm not sure if I should risk reusing the bolts like Elite said they have done alot of times. Or replace them snice i have read horror stories about breaking them.

Supercharger to head bolts there are alot of discussions about the bolts snapping because they are TTY. But Elite and other members have reused them with no problem. I think guys are just not using the correct torque.

Ahhh. Ok, that makes sense. They are 89 inch pounds torque to yield bolts, one time use only. That not much torque so I could see how they might snap if over torqued.

I reused mine when I installed my oil separator and have had no issues, but I'm stock, so maybe those that crank up the boost may have problems. I don't think those bolts are torque to yield.
