Remember also- most folks are showing A/f ratios around 10.6-11.0 stock. Tuning is pushing them to around 11.7. Id really not stress about leaning out the motor that much....Doubt the combo will be anywhere close to that.

I think what he is getting at is rich = lower egt's which is easier on the cats... High egt will melt the matrix inside a cat. Actually makes quite a mess when they melt not to mention they get stopped up.

Wanted to say HELLO

Guys,

Thought I would chime in here quickly and say hello

I appreciate the interest in my modified TB's and wanted to let anyone interested know that emailing me is really the best way to get hold of me (of course PM's work as well).

I have a ton of time invested in the R&D of this particular item using a handful of willing LT4 C7Z06 owners....LOL

My buddy who owns a C7Z is the one that put the fire under my butt to look into this situation after I told him I thought a ported TB could improve the way the car drove and make more power (and this was before I saw how horribly shaped the OEM TB actually is). Anyway....the rest is history and I have this process down to a science at this point

Biggest issue is the TB is on national back order right now and the recent supply I scrounged up everywhere I could is quickly depleting so just a heads up for you guys sitting on the fence.

The new ZL1 is an awesome car btw.....another GM home-run and Im glad to be part of making it more enjoyable for you guys. My buddy owns a 5th gen ZL1 and loves it....Im definitely a fan!!

Also before I sign off here, I just wanted to quickly give a shout out to Joe (the OP.....USP45) who reached out to me a few weeks back and started this thread. I told him I was excited to get his feedback and felt all the perks the Vette community was loving would likely unfold here as well and Im glad that everything did in fact pan out as I hoped

Cheers,
Tony

Besides the improved throttle response, does anyone on the Z06 or this forum have any before/after track results? I would love to give this one a try. I was thinking about giving the RotoFab intake a try also. I wonder if the intake and throttle body would be worth .2 in the 1/4?

Same here. I also would like to see how the car runs with rotofab, tony mamo without tune. I would love to see a catback in addition to those 2 on stock tune. If possible.

I'm very curious how this performs as well. I'll remain stock for a while longer and a drag radial will likely be my first change. I want to see what I can do with the car bone stock and stock with a tire before I start adding power.

TB gains alone should be worth a tenth (minimum) and 1-2 MPH.....mainly due to the increase in area under the curve in addition to peak power....the gains in average power are really strong and that's why your track results are bound to improve a notable amount.

When a hundred plus people tell me there but dyno feels alot stronger and the tires go up in smoke alot easier its has to be a good thing at the dragstrip.

If you have an hour to read the big CF thread I think a few people have posted better gains at the track as well and it would only be logical they do.

Under the curve, where the real magic happens! Peak power looks flashy in numbers, but it's all about that consistent power increase!

PM'd you Tony for an order.

would just installing the TB void the warranty?
