Are the LT1 and LT4 TBs identical?

Same part number.....different porting program. So yes.....its the same part but I approach the porting differently for boosted vs N/A cars
Guys that are interested in my TB.....please just PM me your name, shipping addy, email addy and phone....also state whether your needing a boosted LT4 unit (ZL1) or an N/A LT1 unit Cheers, Tony |

So me and my cousin have almost the same car, same color same M6, He has a sunroof I don't. He complains more than me about the bogging and crappy throttle response. He comes to my house today, Hey take my car out, let me know what you think, OK!!
I drive the car, WOW, feels so much better than mine now. I'm like OMG he got the car tuned that dirty dog!! I'm like you got the car tuned?? He says NOPE, Mamo TB!!! Gotta tell ya, response is crisp, you can be in the wrong gear and the car just powers thru it, feels great!! I launched the car at 2900rpm and it took off with no bogging. hit about 5k and the tires broke loose. All from this TB!! Made a believer out of me for sure!! -Bobby

Just a quick question. Does the throttle body mod seem to work better with the manual trans cars than the automatics?

you don't need a new one. The factory TB "gasket" is a green rubber O ring that can be reused.

I put Tony's ported TB on my ZL1 A10 a couple weeks ago and all I can say is Damn...... what a difference..... tip in is greatly improved as is overall throttle reponse over the whole range, including off idle.
Tony knows his stuff.......... worth every penny......

The first one I got kept throwing a TPS code, which might not have been a result of his work at all . . . could've been the electronics. I sent it back and he ported one a little less aggressively, just in case, and it's been flawless thus far. |
