Supercharger Install

I'm looking at installing a supercharger, but would like to know how difficult the installation is or can be?
On a scale of 1 - 10, 1=battery - 10=engine rebuild

I know there's Techs out there which would have no problem doing this type of install, but I'm not tech.
The most difficult mod I installed was my Kooks Headers, also did E85 sensor, but the sensor was pretty much a breeze.

I would think the difficulty would vary with what brand of supercharger I'm installing, and there must be other items I would need too when supercharging...so
  • Which one would be the easiest
  • Which one would give the most bang for the buck
  • Would I be able to drive it to my tuner for tuning after install
  • What kind of install problems are there with different manufacturers
I'm entertaining either a Whipple or a Magnuson, but open to other manufactures as well.

Thank you in advance!
MODs please feel free to move this post to the FI section...just noticed it's in the wrong section.

You're going to get different opinions based on people's experience, but overall the ProCharger was pretty easy. But then we had a lift and all the correct tools.

Supercharger kit is probably a 4-5 on the difficulty scale, with the centrifugal probably being the easiest blower to install. But I found the Whipple kit to be very good and complete. My brother has a Maggie on his Vette and feels the same way I do. They’re almost all really great units these days so it’s hard to go wrong either way.
