Another option for brake booster port- if u want a similar style port so u don’t have to change anything on brake booster hose... the plastic end on the brake booster hose is 1/2” od. So I ordered a 1/2” od to 3/8” npt “push to connect” fitting. It’s basically the same setup as the stock manifold. There is both dot and non dot styles for these. Dot style just has a tube that goes in the middle so the connection can’t move around.. they use these kind of fittings on air brakes for big rigs so I think they can hold up for what we’re looking for... I also noticed that the inside diameter of the booster hose is 3/8”, but the smallest opening in the whole line is 1/4”... so whatever u do decide to go with, just make sure ur still getting the same air flow and have at the least 1/4” inside diameter with whatever u add. 3/8” ID would be more ideal though.. DO AT YOUR OWN RISK! I have not got my fittings yet but I have used them before for similar ocasions

How is the low end torque? Like real low 1500-2000rpm?

I ordered the dot Approved one... it should b here in a few days.. I’ll post how good it works when it comes in.. I had also bought a spare brake booster hose so I can test all my fittings before I take things apart. That way if something is wrong I’ll know before I go through the hassle of removing stock im

Can you remove the current lines and just take a 3/8 hose and connect everything instead of hacking apart your current booster/pcv lines? I mean it fits so would their be an issue?

Great info! I'd like to see some datalogs with this on an otherwise stock car with no tune to understand if there are any unwanted trade-offs. I don't plan to touch the calibration in mine until 2022!

This is what the booster hose looks like, I bought an extra just incase I decided to hack it up.. it’s heat treated and hard like plastic to hold its shape so it doesn’t kink when trying to route it. It’s not a straight shot between connections. So if u just ran your own hose u would have to b careful that it doesn’t kink.. but then u also have to figure out how to connect it to the main hose.. best bet is to either buy an extra one of these to hack the end off ($15) to just do a regular 3/8” fitting to the manifold, or buy the 1/2” push to connect fitting I mentioned

Guys,
I'm a parts guy at a Chevy dealership...ordered my LT2 IM on August 3rd and I have NO idea when I'm getting it.

ToxicJon, thank you so much for the information! Like most all of you guys, can't wait to replace my Pray Performance ported LT1 intake with this bad boy and see what difference it makes on my car!

GPI is doing all the modifications needed to just bolt this sucker on. Heard they had a large batch come in a few days ago, but have another large batch on order. Basically, just get in line!
  • Brake Booster Fitting Drilled/Tapped
  • High Pressure/High Temp Compatible Fitting
  • Material Removed from Bottom of Manifold for Fitment
  • Map Extension Harness as well

This! I want to be sure it's okay to run this without a tune before buying it. How do we know the car isn't running rich or lean? GPI tested it on a tuned car (I know the tune wasn't changed for the intake) not sure if that affects it not getting a CEL or running lean or rich.

Given that most of the extra airmass will be at higher rpms where the restriction was on the regular LT1 manifold, the MAF sensor should read the new extra airflow at high rpms fine. After 4000 rpms the ECM completely ignores the MAP sensor and the volumetric efficiency tables and solely relies on the MAF sensor.

You forgot to add the porting to your cart or you don't plan to?
