Drive Mode Selector Question.

I’m going to sound like a nut case posting this. Also I originally wrote this in the wrong thread.
I was playing with a 2018 Camaro SS, and I noticed the drive mode selector button made a noticeable clicking sound when you hit up or down. My V6 does not make this clicking sound. Does anyone else’s?

Mine doesn't. Guess it's an SS thing.

Not just an SS thing. My ZL1 makes an audible noise when changing modes as well.

Touché

OP, I think it's simply the variation allowed by size tolerances, nothing to do with the model or engine. Just the same as with paddle shifter switches that emit slightly different clicking sounds. Chances are your mode selector will "break in" over time.

Odd, my 16 SS didn't make a sound when changing it. Wonder if that's added because you never knew if you accidentally bumped it with your elbow.

Here's what the toggle probably hits:
https://www.digikey.com/product-deta...SW400-ND/33150
These are cheap and small and used everywhere. It's actually pretty common for them to be considered "bad" because there is less tactile feedback or clicking sound, even though they still switch on and off adequately.

At least I did not change my thread to “no post”.
I mean what I asked was stupid but at least I acknowledged It. Also I’m not afraid to get roasted either I can take it. It is a simple question.
