The widebody (wider rear tires) didn't seem to help straight line acceleration at all. I'm interested to see how close the handling #s were.

Zl1 lateral g is 1.07, figure 8 in 23 seconds
Hellcat widebody numbers not even reported in the video, they basically said it’s jot even close in any measurable performance metric

I want both for very different reasons.

I love my ZL1 1LE because the track and twisty performance is freaking unreal. I’d also love an overpowered sofa to drive to work, and look mean doing it. Dodge knows how to make that happen!

Well said. I would love to have one for a daily driver. My SS Camaro lease is up in a few months. What should I do

My brother and Dad both have '16 Hellcat Chargers. My brother uses his as a family hauler (two baby seats at all times). He does track days and autocross a few times a month otherwise. 4 doors and 707 HP, it's pretty insane.

As I struggle to put my children in the back seat of my ZL1, and the car reminds me I am no longer young in the form of a sore back, I constantly wonder if I made the right decision to daily my ZL1... Of course, then I listen to the exhaust, take an on-ramp too fast and realize that yes, yes I made the right decision.

But speaking as a previous owner of a Challenger SRT8, they're pretty amazing for what they are. Yes, they're fat pigs, but they're beautiful fat pigs with plenty of power and room to stretch out and enjoy traffic.

I would never want to daily my ZL1. While fun as hell to drive, It's too uncomfortable for daily commute in my opinion. My daily is a VW Passat and I've been thinking of getting a full blown luxobarge for daily driving. That way I can be pampered on those days I feel like wuss, and take the ZL1 the days I feel like a beast.

I'm surprised the ZL1 won in a straight line, but not surprised at all with everything else. I think I found the perfect weekend warrior with the ZL1.

It’s bad luck to let secrets out. A dealership closed out by my parents house. They are auctioning off the remaining inventory this month. They also have (2) Brand New remaining 2016 Hell-Cats’s remaing.

As a previous Hellcat Challenger owner, I can attest to them being very fun and one hell of a straight line machine. They are also the most practical option out there in this realm for hauling people and cargo. But, they dont compare when it comes to handling and being sports car like. They're indeed special in their own way though. Nothing wrong at all with what they bring to the table. The Challenger didn't have as much room inside as it seems it would though, in my opinion. The Charger Hellcat would be great for an insane family car though. Too bad Dodge seems to be treating the Charger like the red headed step child as of late.

You must be younger, or at least in better shape, than I am.

I think the suspension is great, but the seats and the seating position aren't comfortable for me.

I’m daily driving a Camaro SS right now & I hate it. I know right, how can I hate it, after DD the ZL1 the suspension & seats are way too soft on the SS (:

6 it was a close call, but the ZL1 squeezed out the win.
7, both are great cars, but in very different ways.
All very accurate assesment indeed. Especially number 7.

Lap time is not one of Demon or Hellcat area.
They are more on drag.
