2016 SS vs Audi TTS

Me and a coworker are arguing over who's faster. My argument is since the new gen camaros are much lighter it should beat the TTS (not the TTRS). What do you guys think?

I baffled a TTRS last week but then again I'm not stock. But the TTS is quick out the gate and so is the TTRS but they have no top end. So if you are doing a 40mph roll I think the SS will pull away. From a dig you would need the quarter with a manual to win but an auto will close the gap a bit quicker.

The Camaro will absolutely destroy the TTS. To even argue that is ridiculous in my opinion. Don't those cars have 300hp? They have 150 less horsepower at the crank and weigh around the same. There's no competition.

The TTRS will be close. You'll be challenged 0-60 that's for sure.

I've found info on the 17 TT RS going 0-60 in 3.6 and 1/4 in 11.7. But I've not seen any time slips but I wouldn't sleep on it. Ok.. Maybe I would. lol

Your friend is delusional if you are talking an SS vs TTS.

TTS
0-60 = 4.2s (AWD hero)
1/4 = 12.8@108mph

More competition for an stock M6 Mustang GT than a SS. Wouldn't hang even with that on a roll.

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...al-test-review

For reference C&D got 12.3@116mph for a 2SS A8. M6 of course will be a couple tenths off but definitely several car lengths still on the TTS.

He says he put a CAI in and got 100hp extra from a tune. Can't tell if trolling or not. Now sitting on 350 hp he says.

Yeah he did the stage II

Maybe it is faster than a stock SS then.

He's still arguing stock he would win. But the argument has shifted from modded TTS vs Stock SS.

I still think from a roll you could get him. Should be a good race though. They really aren't geared for up high though.

Yea I'd call BS on him being modded since he's now saying he has tune. Just sounds like he is quoting stuff off the net. Also those DSGs need expensive upgrades to handle full tune power as shown on their site. Definitely run him from a roll either way.

Considering he's tuned now supposedly then you may see your buddy giving you a good run. They're nothing to sneeze at off the line with those APR tunes. Rolling start would be a different story. He should be sitting at generous 400 hp @ the crank. Realistically 380-390. Which shouldn't be enough to edge you out even with the 400ish pound advantage.

If you've ever seen that video of quick vs fast with the Tesla going up against the SRT. It'll perfectly apply here. The Audi's are quick, but they're aren't fast. TTRS different story though :/

You would still win from a roll. 60mph+ the SS will be faster than a stg2 TTS. From a dig you would need some serious room to catch up though.
