I've already had some issues with them, so I'm kinda worry it would be the same story.

I'll wait a bit and see if quality upgrades in the future.

As an example, on my Hyundai Tiburon, I installed the angel eyes from The Retrofit Source, the LEDs started to die one after the other only few weeks after purchase, they admitted that their design had a flaw with heat and they corrected them with a new model, which they sent for free.

That's the kind of behavior I am expecting from an aftermarket company and I think it might be a similar story with DD's smoked side markers.

I had the same problems, I had mine for about 6 months and the two fronts died all together and the rears went half dim. Called my vendor and had a new set in I think it was 3 days. I'm still very happy with mine.

This is a water issue. DD had a batch that apparently weren't sealed all the way and water gets in the light and shorts out the lower half. I had the same issue and when I replaced all 4, I ran a bead of RTV silicone around the seal and I haven't had any issues since. One a side note Diode Dynamics was super fast in getting replacements out to me.

My driver side front had this same issue, Phastek Performance replaced it no questions asked.

Now, a little less than a year later, the lower half went out on the replacement unit, plus the lower half on the passenger side red rear marker has gone dim... I think I'll just install my spare kit from JW Motorsports and call it quits on DD.

DD mentioned that water was getting in the light. Instead of waiting for the remaining two to potentially go out, they shipped replacements free of charge. Overall, I like the way they look and their great customer service.

I had all four of mine replaced, ran a bead of clear RTV around the seal of the front and back parts and over a year later, all 4 are still going strong.
