So, I hope this puts people at ease.
Glad it's normal. Now enjoy the car.

The ticking increases in speed when giving more throttle. Also been experiencing strange/unpleasant shifts but I’m not sure that’s related. Car only has 750ish miles on it and was purchased new a few weeks ago.

Yeah, this is not good. That's too loud and is more metal on metal. I'd take it in for sure.

I'd have that checked out, especially, if you are going to do any mods later on. At least you get it documented.
Let me and the others know.
It does seem to (mostly) go away after a few minutes, I think towards the end of the second video you can hear it quiet down. I plan on bringing it up at the first service interval. Shifts have also been making a “ka-chh” rough sound on about 40% of automatic shifts, more when in manual mode. But that’s a discussion for another thread...

This might be a topic for another forum, but I am wondering how many 6th generation Camaros have had something go wrong with a lifter (documented), and whether or not the car was a manual or automatic?

Hello I bought a camaro about a year ago and it did not start ticking until this about a week ago . I have gone through every thread and most people have the sound on the driver side, mine is on the passenger. I took it to the dealer and had the code P0300 knock sensor bank 2 had failed, they replaced it and it is still ticking, i assumed it would adjust the timing and maybe that would fix it but I have no idea if this is normal or not. Ticks when idling and accelerating pretty loud. https://youtube.com/shorts/n_mY48MuYLo

I'm not really a car person, but more of a casual investigator on this forum.

I finally got a brand new 2021 LS a few weeks ago. It has less than 500 km on it now and is still on the first tank of gas. Recently, it has begun a high-pitched ticking or rubbing all the time, but mostly noticeable when I pull into my garage and the sound is isolated.

Maybe this is normal? It sounds exactly like the Charger I had before its engine died recently, so I am worried. The Camaro didn't sound like this in the first week or so of driving.

I also notice a burning smell after 30 km/h of acceleration then idling and stopping, or shutting the car off after driving. Maybe it's related? I have tried to keep the engine under 4,000 RPM.

Video link is below:

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
