Mine was built as of 5/18. Ordered 3/18
Then sat at 4300 since late may. Never changed until this week went to 4200 an now it’s finally on the way

I have been so frustrated I was almost thinking it would never come

Ordered 12/07/21, accepted 04/18/22, built 06/21/22, sitting delayed at railyard in new boston since 07/01/22.

Tbh I don't even care how long it takes, more time to save up the longer that it takes.

Quick question to those with experience.

I ordered my car two weeks ago, and despite having inquired the dealer, I have not been given a six number/letter code to track the order.

I was told that one would be given when GM accepts the order. while they may just be the dealer not being fully aware of the ordering process, I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this.

Also, not a huge issue, but they ordered it dealer stock, not customer order.

When a dealer successfully submits a configuration as a preliminary order, an order number is generated ("WDRFGC" for example). The order is then considered to be in "1100" status (order placed at dealership). Once the order is accepted by Chevrolet, it changes to "2000" status (order accepted by Chevrolet).

Dealerships are fully aware of the ordering process...

If you are committed to and buying the car when it comes in, be sure that they order it as Retail Sold. You will get lower priority with a Stock Order.

Got a call from my dealer today and he said my car was in California and should be delivered in the next couple of days.

Amazon can give you a date and within a few hors of delivery for items that cost under $20 but why is the tracking and delivery time so poor when shipping trucks loaded with hundreds of thousands of dollars in product.
And its a fraction of the items compared to UPS,Amazon, Fedex

Junction & Leonard, appreciate the confirmation of what I already came to understand.

Most builds seem to get picked up around the 2-3 month mark, I'll give it until then, if I don't get a confirmation of a 2000 or 3400 I'll take it that I'm not getting the car and move on to another dealer.

When I ordered my ZL1, I asked for a copy of the GM workbench. That's how I got my order number. I don't know if that changes because it's dealer stock.

DylansZLE or DC Chevy Sales would be able to answer that question.

I have a copy of the Workbench build sheet, but there's no code on there, only stock codes, GM options codes and a dealer BAC.
