Wow! Mustang is quickly erasing Camaro's sales lead. Definitely time for a new model. Oh wait a minute, what do we have here?

Mustang is clearly ahead, even though it's butt ugly IMO. LOL
The outgoing Camaro still outsold the refreshed Challenger even though the Challenger's percentage numbers are up.

I expect the November 2015 sales number will boom when the new six-gen Camaro start hitting the dealerships. It's not unusual or unexpected for sales to drop for the last year of an out-going generation (2015)... especially since the Mustang just introduced it's next-gen and Challenger put out a major refresh. Fear not! The Camaro will reclaim it's rightful place at the top of the list for new sales.

When I was visiting in Cali, I saw lots of 2015 Mustang convertibles. Not having any 2016 Camaro convertibles available until 1st quarter 2016 is gonna hurt somewhat. I think women really like Mustangs over Camaro.... I don't see Camaro re-winning this segement for awhile. Once you lose market share, it's very hard to recover.

I think I read somewhere that the 4 cyl is selling better than the six and 8.

Ford is aggressively pushing mustangs with rebates at the dealership level and also dumping a huge amount of cars at the rental car companies.
Locally, it's not uncommon to see ads for 8-10K off F150's at any given time and we have always had the ford dealerships pushing cash on the hoods of mustangs but now with an updated exterior that has a Camaro like silhouette but with a ford face and fastback, sales are off the charts as a result. Locally I've seen more rental mustangs of this gen than of any other model before and that's saying a lot since ford has always pushed a lot of its cars in the rental car business locally. I can find at least 10 mustangs on each rental lots at the local airport but I have only been able to find 1 or 2 Camaros at any given time and we are a high tourist attraction region. I have seen my fair share of new mustangs on the road and they are good looking cars for a mustang but that droopy rear end is hard to get over.

I am not paying much attention to the Camaro sales right now because of the 6 th gen announcement. I am watching the trend of the mustang though to see if sales are starting to fall off.
I have to say I am a little surprised they have remained as strong as they have so far. But I cannot see it remaining this high from now on...

Ford does a great job advertising. I bought a new Ford F150 in 2011, and a new Focus in 2014. They send me literature every month. Last week, I got a glossy color catalog that includes all of their vehicles. They also send me private offers to trade on a new vehicle. The Ford dealer sends out stuff every month too... coupons for service, trade offers, etc.
Since I bought the Camaro in December, I can't recall getting anything in the mail from Chevrolet or the dealer. I think the only thing they've sent out is a survey.
