Rim scrape damage advice

I guess its inevitable with these large rims, Ive been carefully breaking in the car going on some long highway road trips each day to get to 1500 by my track day next weekend

See below came home and saw this scrape so weird cause I didn't park it anywhere near curbs or anything * I did end up on some weird back roads that seemed to have construction zones

What are my options? Is there such thing as touch up for these rims?

I have tire and rim protection package ins but im not gonna use it for a mild scrape and not sure how many times i can use it. I imagine at least wait until track season is over .

After my initial damage ive been so careful! So this is bothersome but again I realize its likely to get more scrapes on the track so im slowly preparing my self

Advice ?

Thy want to re coat the whole wheel no matter how big or small ? Is this what I should do ? Or should I wait until after track season ?

If they don't do that you will see the area they repaired...I've had the wheels on my wife's truck fixed twice. First time I didn't have them paint the whole wheel, I could see the area that was worked on. Would someone else? Doubtful...but the next time I had the whole wheel painted and you couldn't tell. Just make sure the guy you use has good reviews, as that is not a cheap wheel.

What about the wheel tire ins I bought ? Does that cover this w quality work

You can make that unnoticeable pretty easily by yourself with a Dremel tool and touch up paint.

Start with the Dremel #952 Cone Shaped Aluminum Oxide Grinding Stone and grind down the burrs. It doesn't have to be completely smooth just rounded the best you can.
Switch to the #413 Sanding disc and try to round it down.
1500 grit sandpaper lightly sand
3000 grit sand paper lightly sand
Clean with 15% isopropyl alcohol/water solution
Paint with rim touch up paint.

Don't forget to rebalance the wheel.

I disagree a little bit. I don't think it takes redoing the whole wheel. I've seen jobs come out of a used car department via mobile wheel repair where they didn't do the whole wheel and you can't tell that there was ever a problem. Go back to the dealer, go see the used car manager , and ask them who they use for their mobile repair. Every dealer has one, and maybe it's a service that will even come to your house. Should be 100 bucks . Maybe less

Found a place that said re painting whole wheel was overkill ! Gonna. Have them sand and touch up , not sure what tire and wheel coverage actually covers ?

I charge $50 per wheel, unless there are a lot of places to fix. There is rim filler that you can use to fill deep gouges.

If you have a wheel/tire insurance package you paid for, you should have gotten a contract or pamphlet of some sort that states what is coverage by you insurance. Some places will fix scratches such as yours, Ive heard of others that will only replace the wheel. Some will only fix bends and again, others will only replace them. Look through the info you got with your car, i.e. owners manuals, warranty manuals etc and there should be some info there. Otherwise call the dealer you purchased it from and they can look up your contract.
