GM better design the 3rd gen Colorado to fit 33s, especially with the Bronco having optional 35s.

I am EAGERLY awaiting all of the next gen mid-size trucks. I guess I'll count the Gladiator as the start of that. I'm really curious to see what everyone bring to the table and considers "good enough". I'm expecting all of them to be a nice leap over the prior gen, although I really like my gen 2 colorado a lot. New Colorado and Canyon, new Frontier, new Tacoma, new Ranger, and very likely new midsize RAM...all in the next 2 or 3 years.

I am too. I won't be in the market for a while but i'd like to see GM make an effort in this space. I think you'll find many folks step down into midsize for multiple reasons.

I'm curious to see where they go with the Colorado, but I'm enjoying my '20 Bison way too much to ever want to trade it in

Rumored "Baja Mode" for future Colorado ZR2s.

Nothing i've seen in my travels. I did notice the Ram TRX was unveiled today. No way GM releases anything close to it.

Knowing GM, it will come standard with the 5.3. Anything else will be optional.

IHS Markit is tracking a Silverado with an LT4. And then there's the Hummer EV with 3 electric motors @ 1,000 hp.

I'll believe an LT4 Silverado when I see it on the dealer lots. There should have been an LT4 Escalade years ago.

As for the Hummer, I'm not interested in EV. I'm sure it will be capable but I don't see it being a serious offroad vehicle. I'd look at it more as a test bed vehicle than anything.

GM is already running around in a ZRX in the desert in full race config (Hall Racing). They'll have the suspension ready if they decide to green light this project. The question is the powertrain. Hall Racing's truck has the L87. Will GM spend the extra money to certify anything else?

Given the Raptor power and newly announced Hellcat TRX...if GM goes anything less than LT4 it will have already lost.

I like the RAM TRX very much...everything about it looks good except for it's price. I'm finding the 13 thousand dollars over a crew cab Raptor to be a hard pill to swallow. 700 HP is cool and all, but what would have been wrong with strapping the nearly 500HP 6.4 V8 in there instead, or maybe even having that as the base engine? If the TRX had been engineered for the 6.4 instead of the Hellcat, I'd bet it would cost at least 5 grand cheaper, if not closer to 10 grand.

Power isn't everything. If GM were to release the Silverado ZRX with the 6.2...sure it might be a bit outgunned but still anything but slow and/or underpowered. Also, It would probably be priced right with the Raptor.

Unless they release as a ZRX and a "ZRX-R." A two tiered approach. A base ZRX could be in the 50s and still compete without a SC. A ZRX-R in the 70s along with the TRX as a premium option halo model. Come in to look at the ZRX-R, go home with the ZRX.
