Chevrolet/1LE will win the battle but Ford/Mach 1 will win the war.
I think the 1LE will still win the performance comparisons in magazines simply because the Alpha 6th gen Camaro is such an awesome performance platform.
However, Ford and the Mustang are killing the competition in sales and marketing strategy. Unless you're interested in cars, I'm willing to bet most of the population doesn't even know the Camaro exists.

I think it will depend on the track but I would give the edge the SSLE. Performance to value I give the edge to SSLE without a doubt since it can be had in 1SS trim

The Mach 1 has not been released yet, so whio knows. We'll have to wait and see some head-to-head track fights in a few months.

Wasn't sure where to put this. Didn't seem like it needed its own thread.

An interesting if not cryptic post. Guess we'll find out on 7/21.

Oh, neat. Another "limited edition" Ford. Hard pass.

I seem to remember reading about a power bump for the Camaro 6.2 V8 engine in the vicinity of 485 hp using some LT2 upgrade parts from the new mid engine C8 Corvette coming soon.

A little birdie posted this info and I know he's in a position to know, Camaro will continue to be GM's sporty rwd coupe on the new VSS-R platform which is replacing the Alpha and the Omega platforms.

That's interesting. As far as I've read, the LT2 and LT1 are very similar, aside from the intake and exhaust manifolds and the dry sump system. I'm not sure what they can take from the LT2 that will fit the Camaro LT1. I hope its true, though.
