Does it damage the paint after a long long time?

No,

If you look at pollen under a microscope it has little spikes all over it, so you do want to wash it off the right way. Don't use a Cali Duster or just a rag with detail spray. Full wash or rinseless wash recommended.

I tried to find some BF C seal and it said it has been discontinued. Do you know what they replaced it with?

McKees 37 high gloss detail spray here. Love their products.

Good to know I've been using both a cali duster and quick detailer.
