The second dealer parts department I called had it. Since it was my first oil change I tried to use one of the free maintenance's and they wouldn't fully but I asked to pay the difference from the price of the regular oil which they agreed
 I'm still shocked at how little service writers know about our cars. I had to give part number each time and nobody I spoke with knew anything about the correct break in, correct oil or replacement oil, or anything I asked really. Do your own research. Thank God for the internet and forums.

So we need the heavier weight oil in the ZL1 1LE for the track due to the increased cornering capability of the 1LE package.
this is news to me !! Glad I didn't take my car to the track before finding this out.
