That PP2 looks damn good IMO.
But the 2SS 1LE will have coolers.

Yes it will, but to your own comment its still 50K for just a SS Camaro. Which to me is insane on both accounts

Why is the $50,000 barrier now so shocking?

Non-halo Camaro's have been touching that for a while now..I think it actually may have started back in the Gen 5 days? I know for a fact that a loaded S550 Mustang GT has been either at 50,000 or damn close to it since the launch in 2014.

Your right I guess it shouldn't be shocking but to me it still is. I know I know the cars are light years better than they used to be, but I think the MSRP on my 07 GT Premium was like 28,5 or 29k.

Hell I think my 04 GT was 25 or 26. I'll have to see if I can find the window stickers lol.

Nope. Not even close. My 15 GT PP Premium with Recaros was 42k.

Well inflation for one, $29K in '07 is $34,500 now. $26K in '04 is $34K today as well. Then factor in the increased content available today vs then.

There are plenty of examples of them being stickered at or over $50K. Most with ridiculous options, dealer addons, etc... but there you have it.

I'm shocked that you're shocked at the shock of the shocking pricing for shocking performance in today's, shocking domestic performance market.

You missed the word "loaded".

A premium GTPP isn't what I would call loaded. IIRC a GT Premium Convertible with the 401A, premier interior, shaker pro, 20" wheels, etc..was around $49,000.

A 2SS 1LE costs $48,995 on the build your own site with the $1,000 cash allowance given

2SS $42,000
1LE $7000
Destination $995
Allowance -$1,000
Total $48,995

Pretty complete package that can be tracked at a HPDE under warranty. All coolers standard at the base SS level. Great deal!

If you're going to quote prices with cash allowances and current discounts versus MSRP then it's only fair to use X-plan pricing on the Mustang.

Currently a 2SS/1LE is $49,995.

It was only informational. I'm glad you could connect the dots.

The larger point was that a 2SS alone isn't $50k

Yes great package, my point was to another posters point that both a PP2 Premium and 2SS 1LE are both right at the 50K mark is all and at the end of the day, both are still just a GT and just an SS and not special editions
