I just hung up with Edelbrock. They said I could run a catch can, and that it would NOT void my warranty with them. That's good. However, the Camaro expert was tied up and I was not able to ask about the secondary cats. I was talking to a guy that was asking him as he paused another conversation to answer that one question.

Just paint the entire frame black or car color, it will still say supercharged but you won't be able to read it while the car is moving or even stopped unless you get close up and actually look at the raised letters.

years ago I met a guy who had a stock looking fox body 5.0 that had a Vortech Supercharger plate frame front and rear but it was painted all gray to match the car, It was a bit of a sleeper with a quiet exhaust.

I like the way you think. I might just do that.
Got the SC today! It goes under the knife next Tuesday. Can't wait!

Lucky dog you...I am waiting just a bit before I seriously consider it. I think they look great and the power increase will be awesome. Do you plan to inform your insurance company? I've been thinking about that. If you didn't and you had an accident caused by excessive speed and they found out, I'm not sure what they would do. They always ask when you add a car if it's been modified???

I actually told my agent yesterday that I was doing this, and he had no problem with it whatsoever.

I would highly recommend getting a rider added to your insurance to cover your mods. It just covers the value of replacing them and does not impact the risk associated with the car's increased performance (like if you bought a ZL1). This way if you get into an accident and it's totaled, or someone steals it, they replace everything for you (except the labor). Without this, you're only getting back a stock Camaro. I have everything major covered on my car (Maggie, headers, wheels and tires) and it only added $200 per year to my policy. That's with the Forgeline wheels mind you...prior to the wheels it was only an extra $125 per year.

Guys, when you flash a tune to your car or download the stock file to say an SCT X4 device, how do you get the car to stay in ACC mode and not turn itself off after some time? I was downloading my stock ECM file to the X4 device they sent me today, and as soon as the download finished (but before the device had saved the data and before the device gave me the all-clear to turn the ACC off), the ACC mode powered down leaving just the radio running (since I had not yet opened the doors). I didn't touch a thing and it finished up and said it was done and it was ok to turn off the ACC, but it was already off with only the auxiliary portion still running the radio.

Crap like that makes me dislike push button starts. Is there a way to get it into ACC mode and have it not turn off automatically after a while? I noticed this one time before. Do you have to press and hold it (without pressing the clutch, of course) for a while as opposed to just pressing it? Does that make a difference?

Sorry, a tad off topic but I knew many of you would know since you've flashed the Edelbrock file with your SC kits as well.

For the record, and just so everyone knows, you can actually fit an entire E-force kit inside the trunk of a 2016 Camaro. I would have never thought it possible. But it fits!
Tomorrow morning the install begins.......

After the install I expect to be out right at 8 grand, maybe a hair less. Go to Steve at RDP Store for the best kit price (that I found), and shop around for someone else to do the work. My shop is charging me $85/hour.

It is a painful wait on the install, but worth it!
