Factory Wickerbill
Those who went with LPO or from the parts department after delivery, could you please let me know if the Wickerbill is removable like the 14/15 Z28 was? Any pictures of it removed? I tossed it on my order but sometimes have second thoughts.

I believe it is. The 1LE that showed up at my dealership in August had the wicker and it had button head allen bolts. I have the install instructions at home. I did end up ordering the wicker two days ago.

Here is the GM install instructions, it says if the car is to be "auto washed" i.e., run thru an automatic car wash, that the wicker should be removed.

Looks cool, but not sure it's very practical except on the track. It will likely reduce gas mileage, reduce acceleration and top speed, and it looks like need to be removed if you take the car through an automatic car wash.

You can remove it, it’s not permanent. The holes are though

Hahaha, I wish it was so easy! My buddy was up in the air with either ordering an A10 SS 1LE with PDR and BCD or ZL1 M6 with BCD and PDR. He already has an '18 SS 1LE, he was looking for something different. When that ZL1 allocation came up, he jumped. It already went to 3000 status with a TPW of 12/12. I wish I could send you some of his luck!

I'm pretty sure that is the case with most of us. Not sure what that has to do with the wickerbill though.

It's perfectly fine to do whatever you want. I installed it on mine and it's a flimsy piece of plastic. the car gets tracked also, no need to worry..... its durable.

You provided a list of negative reasons for having it - unless, which you noted, one takes it to the track. I was simply responding that I didn’t order the car to take to car shows; I will be tracking, which is why I’m interested in it, but also being able to remove for different track events as necessary or any particular street driving. Basically, having the ability to cleanly remove and reinstall was my concern.
