Check Engine Light HELP: P0452 & P0453
I've recently had these two codes come on in my 2016 Camaro V6. The car is fully stock with about 39k miles on it. I've looked up the codes and it says Evaporative emission system pressure sensor/switch low and Evaporative emission system pressure sensor/switch high. I can't find a lot of information about these codes for a camaro. I've cleared the codes and the light came off. When I turned off the car and turned it back on the check engine comes back on instantly but only the P0452 shows up. Does anyone have any idea how this can be fixed?

From what I read the pressure sensor for your fuel tank is likely bad. This typically sits on top of the fuel tank. It is not detecting fuel (liquid) pressure, but the vapor pressure at the top of the tank. It is used by the EVAP system, which is why it shows as an evap code.
Since you are getting both the high and low codes, I think it's the sensor. |

Meanwhile, here's a thread with pics of the top of the tank: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showt...php?p=11102299 apparently, this has come up before. Looks like it is not attached to tank. https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showt...php?p=11279251 Check out this ebay listing. I think it's the sensor with the tan connecting plug: https://www.ebay.com/itm/38508792835...SABEgLM3vD_BwE Last edited by ctrlz; 11-22-2023 at 10:51 AM. |
