Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4 Review

I went ahead and threw on PSAS4's on the LT1. Stock wheels but went slightly wider, 255/35/20.

What a difference! The tires are lighter, you can really feel the less unsprung weight as steering is lighter and more responsive. The ride is less crashy that the OEM run flats.

So far I can tell the lateral grip level is higher in the dry. I have not tried a launch yet as they are still new.

Highly recommend this option if you require all seasons.
If you don't need all seasons, the PS4S is fantastic (have them on my other car), comfortable and can withstand occasional track days.

Yes, these tires are great. I use them as daily driver for cold wet winters and I take the car to autocross events. Great handing and comfort.

Im considering these when I finish this set of Alpin PA4's that I use in the winter time. Also considered the DWS6+, but I had a set of COnti ExtremeContactSport that I really didn't like as the sidewall felt soft and it was vague on steering, had a push in the front end of the car. I really didn't like them and I've heard similar on the forum about the DWS. Most people seem to like that tire for many other reasons.
When I looked at TR I didn't see that they had a 305/30/20 though so I'd have to look elsewhere.

Yup, just threw on some PSAS4s on my LT1 a few days ago. Went down to a 19” by 9” and went to a 265. Handles much better in the dry, quieter too.

What wheels did you get? Ideally id downsize to 19s or 18s if it was in the budget

I got some Weld Lagunas that I had the spokes powder coated black. Got it for a screaming deal back in december and couldn’t pass it up. Combined with the lighter non run flat tires, I saved about 5 pounds per corner.

If I didn’t need tires in a pinch, I would have gone for the PS AS 4S…perhaps my next set, for now the Kumho Ecsta PA51. I do see a significant price difference in the 255/35/20 vs the 245/40/20. Your wheel and tire look great. Mine are a bit dirty right now.

Don't the Pilot Sport A/S 4s come in run flat and non-run flat? Which are you all using?
