Patched Supercar 3

Ran over a bolt on the highway and had to get my Supercar 3 patched. Went straight in so didn’t tear the thread and right in the center of the thread. Les Schwab did a nice job on the patch. Has anyone tracked with a patched tire?

Thanks

You will have zero issues tracking that tire.

As long as the tire was removed from the rim and the patch was done professionally from the inside out, it is generally still safe to track. Also the damage should not be in/near the sidewall but a pro should know not to patch it if that is the case. I have tracked a tire patched by Discount Tire on a previous car hitting 120mph on the straightaway without issues but ymmv.

I also ran a front SC3 that was properly patched without issue, although it still was in the back of my mind a little.

Important to know and since some one mentioned removal and reapair from the inside that a patch, and a plug, are two different methods. One is good and one is not so good. Patched from the inside should restore full performance. a plug should not be tracked and then even the worst shop probably wouldn't plug a Z rated tire anyway.

Thanks to all for your answers! This was done by removing the tire, it was right in the center so not side wall issue, and they used a patch.
I think I am good.
