Some dealers will ship too. It may be cost-effective if you can find a dealer west of the Mississippi.

What reason do dealers give for not wanting to let you order a car?

They put the car in the showroom, today, I putted around the parking lot before it went in the showroom. Made me wonder if I would be as happy with a ZL1 v. a Vette for arguably $20k more as I would want it built.....

I mean, its kind of the ultimate hooligan mobile..... Looks crazy cool, sounds sinister and backs it all up, strip, track and street.

I’m fighting the ‘21 Camaro ZL1 vs. ‘21 Corvette battle with myself now too, and it’s interesting that most of my ZL1 builds price out higher than my C8 builds. Any ZL1 will certainly be more rare and bad-ass than any Corvette, and the ZL1 hopefully will hold its value better as GM transitions to an all-electric vehicle company. Plus, it looks like there could only be a couple thousand ZL1s built this year, especially since GM is looking at a Camaro shutdown by 2023 and already has started winding down option availability for Camaros.

I’m just afraid some bored GM bean counter is going to wake up some morning soon and say, “Hey, we’re not using the LT4 for anything but the ZL1s and a few crate motors, so we should shut down production now and save the company a little money.” The best news is that you can get a ZL1 built in 6-8 weeks, while the wait time for a C8 is over a year.

I hope it happens - the last of big displacement engines. Values would go up big

Here are pics from the first time I saw my ZLE in 11/2018, she had me at hello. The blue ribbon made her look so pretty.

Glad I got mine early, bought mine in Sept. 2020, one of first few 2021s built based on the build date. I think they had only started 2021 production 2 weeks before mine was built.
