How difficult is it to install Eagle Eye with Halo Lights?

I've watched a few youtube videos on installing the lights and read a few posts on here, but on a scale of 1-10 (10 being hardest) how difficult is it? I plan on putting in a Heritage grille at the same time, so I can kill 2 birds with one stone.

Did you splice the halo's into your parking lights?

or

Did you run a toggle switch separately to run them independently?

And,

should I change out the standard fog lights to HIDs also while I have the front bumper off?

Thanks, want real world experience. I would go AAC, but I am not interested in popping my lights open to install the halos or the $600 price tag for the ready made ones.

Installed Eagle Eyes about 3 months ago. Looking back, it wasn't that hard. Scale 4 of 10. The hardest part was taking the bumper off and hooking up the ballast. My halos are spliced into the parking lights. On my 2010 it's wired to the 1st notch from auto position to come on whenever I want them to. I also changed my fog's (I have fog's not DRL's) to 5202 iJDToy's. Great time to do it if you're gonna have the bumper off to install your Heritage at the same time. I didn't do that, and had to take the bumper off twice. All can be done in about 3 hours (bumper on/off, lights, fogs, grille). The only "bad" thing about Eagle Eyes is they're not colorshifting (if you wanted that feature).

Thanks Gunny...are you happy with the Eagle Eyes? Where did you get yours? Best price I have seen is on ebay. Was it plug and play into the wiring harness from the existing lights? I don't care about the color shift...just want a true white/blue light.

No problem at all Dice! I got them from another member for about $350. I absolutely love them. Soooo much nicer than the non-RS lights I had. At first I didn't even like the halos on these cars. But, the more I saw them, I knew I wanted some. It's all plug 'n play. All I had to do was splice in the power, then get a good ground. The ballasts weren't too hard either. There's a few tricky bolts, but not too hard. I changed the fogs too. Piece of cake there, just pop out a bulb and put the new one in.

Just noticed you have the dark argent Heritage grille? That is what I am doing on my Summit White too.... I'm going gray on all exterior chrome as well. Your car looks great!

Thanks! It's coming along, but I have a lot more to do. Next for me is gonna be a stripe package. More than likely NS-1. Heritage grille FTW bro!

I liked my eagle eyes but then I realy got sick of how small the halos were even though the ccfl was good I ended up doing a projector retrofit with colorshift 2.0 halos on my OEM non rs headlights it's 1000 times better now plus I upgraded the hid kit to morimoto that has the best kit that I've ever used

You want them on a separate toggle switch?
