How difficult is it to order a ZL1 1LE? Is 2023 the last year?
Hey all...
I have been considering a ZL1 1LE for quite some time. Now that I heard that production will be ending for the Camaro for good, is it too late to order a ZL1 1LE? Any feedback would be helpful! Thanks! Mike |

I would say take what you can find. There are no guarantees on anything after this year.

I would say that if indeed this is the last year and you want a ZLE then you'd better get an order placed now, hardest model to get.

Current indications via dealership employees on this forum is that there will be a 2024 model year. Even then, the ZL1 1LE is not easy to get allocations for, so if you want it new, I'd say this is a good time to start researching "proper" dealerships that actually stand a chance of getting one, whether it's a 2023 or a prospective 2024.

ZLE is very easy to order. Virtually impossible to get.
Only about 20 ZLEs were produced nationwide in October. Carbon Fiber continues to be the big problem. There is speculation that while the 6th Gen will make it to 2024, the ZLE may not.

Getting a ZLE allocation has been really hard and you might be a little late to the party.
Here is the discussion regarding the last MY for Camaro (suppose to be 2024). https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=610929 |

If you can find a ZLE in transit for MSRP, I would strongly recommend that you consider purchasing it.
I did just that, and I am glad I did because my dealership still didn't get an allocation for a ZLE or even a ZL1.

And if you find one at a Dealership or in Transit, most likely the Dealership knows what they have and MSRP is not realistic, a few k over is not out of line . Supply an Demand, and how bad you want one. Good luck

OP, start by doing a search on Chevrolet's website for all ZL1 1Les within 2000 miles of your zipcode. Then start contacting the dealerships. You'd be surprised to see who actually get the ZLEs; they are not always the biggest dealerships. Don't be too picky about options unless it's something huge like a 6 speed manual or 10 speed auto. Even if you miss a car in transit because someone already has a deposit on it, just let the dealership know you're still interested and would like to get on their list for the next allocation.
Oh, one more thing, don't put down a deposit unless the dealership actually has an allocation. |

That too happened to me when I ordered in January of this year. So, I started looking at all dealerships within 2000 miles from me. It's still tough when you just missed out on the in transit ZLEs. |

I was able to score a used 2022 with 140 miles on it so I grabbed it up. Still waiting on mine though since the car I found is a manual and I ordered an auto. Other than trans it was the exact car I ordered...

I'd just get used if you're looking for manual. They're only making ~200/year
