How? It's a GM ECU calibration. The point of that product and tune is to maintain warranty.

Take it somewhere else, I wouldn't want them touching my car.

Go to Ted Britt in Sterling, ask for Chris Thomas. He's had experience with the intake on my car and knows the process.

I picked up my New Chevy LT1 CAI from the Parts Department at the Local Dealership last Monday. They will be installing it this Friday and also doing the Tune. I decided to have them do the whole job (Install and Tune) since I will be the First to have the Chevy CAI installed in the area. I will post pictures next weekend, after I get my car back next Friday.

All tunes reset the keystroke counter. It would hard to convince anyone you drove XX,XXX miles with only a single start of the engine.

GM can tell if your car was tuned by the aftermarket and will void your warranty. This is common knowledge

Just checking in to see how the install and tune went for you. I'm still on the fence, I don't think the CAI will add more whp. But I do think it has the potential to balance the system out and give the car better throttle response. It's a lot of money, however if it helps the car to accelerate the way it should, it may be worth adding to the Christmas List

Update on my GM CAI Install. I dropped my car off at the dealership Thursday after work/school and go over everything with the service writer and the tech who would be doing the install. Friday I hear nothing until about 2:30 PM, and it is a message to call the Service writer. When I finally reach her I am informed of a problem. The dealership had recently been sold to new owners, well because of this they and GM were still getting things switched over. Well to make a long story short, they as yet did not have the ability/permission to do software updates on the cars various computers, which means for Me, they could not install the TUNE on my Camaro. They offered to pick me up so I could get my Camaro back and reschedule the install, or I could leave it with them, hoping that their issues could be resolved by Monday. Needless to say this messed up my weekend plans. I will update when I have more information.

Update. I was finally able to get my Camaro back on Tuesday after school/work. The dealership was finally able to get their issues resolved with GM, and it was decided that the install of the GM CAI would be done Tuesday Morning. The GM techs and the Lead Tech at the dealership would do the install together over the phone or a online communication network. This was the First GM CAI to be done by the dealership, so my Camaro was their very first. The install and Tune were done without any problems or issues. So far the car's system is relearning, and I have been informed to make a good road trip with the car as soon as I can, which I will be doing this weekend when I drive up to my son's place in Murrieta, CA.
