Cleaning exhaust outlet tips.

What do you guys use to clean the exhaust outlets?
I realize there's a lot of stuff that would probably work and it's a simple question.
Just wondering what you are satisfied with and what you think works the best.
Thank you.

I use regular car wash - from a separate bucket and towel.

Mother’s Aluminum polish. Takes out the grime, and leaves it shiny.

If there is no coating or paint on them: Steel wool pads and any metal polish.

Sonax wheel cleaner plus. This stuff has a pretty strong smell, but I dilute by ~ 50% with water in a spray bottle. I was really surprised how easily the carbon wiped off after a few minutes soaked with the solution. Just used a sponge / no scrub.

That’s too much work & waaaaay to long to wait.

Seriously.

I walk up, spray a 2-3” circle on a paper towel & wipe around the inside of the tip. If I want to clean farther in, I give a circular spirt on the resonator portion, wait maybe 10seconds & wipe the inside. Done.

Nah, no extra work (at least for me).. same mix put on wheels, goes on the tips, spray all at once. Easy peasy..sponge and water rinse.
