How motivated is your dealer to sell ?
Just had to share an experience that turned from a disaster to success story. I was ready to buy a 2SS/RS Coupe from the Chevy dealer I live closest to. The 0.0% was ending in a few days, so I go in and tell them what I want. They told me they would lock me in for 30 days on the 0.0% fin as they looked for my car. Sounded awesome. They found a few. I picked one and we were ready to go, but they had to have it transferred. This happend on a Saturday. The following monday they call me and said they can't lock me in and that I needed to buy what was on their lot !!. You know the story of I was born but not yesterday ??!! None of their cars they had were candidates. I said, wow that's a pretty strange sales move on your part. Are you sure? I said, because I will go out of state if I have to since I border 3 states. They told me good luck !! I really don't blame this sales person. I blame the owner as it was the owners call.
I was shocked and in under 1 hour after I hung up with these clowns, not only did I get the car I wanted but I bought a crap load of extras for it including an incredible deal on a 2nd set of 21" wheels and tires so I can have the original 2SS/RS set as a spare. I am so happy. The dealer I ended up with worked with me from the very second I talked to him to have the car's VIN transferred to his lot in a couple hours with only a 200.00 deposit (which he never spent). He also locked me into the 0.0% fin and it took 3 days for the car to appear in the lot. I can't say enough about this sales guy at this dealer. Really went above and beyond for me the whole way answering every single anal retentive question and request for pictures .. (texting me late at night on a sunday) the whole nine yards. I even had the Sales Manager know of my experience and wrote to the owner. Totally made my birthday (50th) and 3 days after the deal was done the dealer that i live close to called and wondered if I got the out of state dealer to lock me in at 0.0. I told them that they really need to work on their sales tactics because you just lost a 50K Camaro sale. Some dealers are just more hungry than others I guess. |

Not too motivated, but they do help you out when you're a serious buyer.

What business do these guys want to be in? Selling cars or jerking people around?
