WTB VENTED HOOD
I’ve been battling with under hood temperature issues with the T4 Huron Speed kit. She’s been burning wires for fun, loaded with Dei and a turbo blanket. Unfortunately ceramic coating is not an option for now I’ve been led to believe a vented hood is my best bet for getting that heat out. If you guys have any proper vents, vented hoods for sale or any advise I’d love to hear it and see what kind of options there are for me.

I built my own custom twin kit and had heat issues at first. I have everything wrapped and blankets also. I ended up putting 2 layers of heat tape on the wires between the boots and heat sleeves over the wires. I also installed a 2014 heat extractor in my stock 2010 camaro. I haven’t had any issues since.

I’m not boosted or having any heat issues but I just put on a Harwood 5” cowl that actually functions.

Hood vent is a good idea, but for the wires, try Accel ceramic boots with heat shielding over the top. I used stainless steel tie wraps to gather the shielding material just above the ceramic boot.

Wouldn’t be too bad to daily as long as you’re aware of your right front and careful. I drive my car both days on the weekend everywhere with no issues.
