Convince me I need to port my sc...

And then add the bigger tb, then a big gulp, then a retune, then making sure fuel keeps up, then...

Current setup a few months ago showed 688 rwhp on mustang dyno.

Well, unless you're running meth or have a cam installed, a ported SC and big gulp is going to land you right around 700whp before you're out of fuel.

I’m just here to convince you to buy a bigger blower & be done with it.

Seems to me 688 rwhp is a good number.

I agree with Greg. Obviously you're not stock. A list of your current mods would help us to make informed recommendations.

From stock what would a ported SC, big gulp, ported throttle body, tune get in terms of gains?

I bet you get around 625. Complete Street Performance did these very mods and I think he got around 630 on exactly what you proposed. A standard Kong port will gain probably 30. The CAI and tune, at that level, another 30. You'll need a tune for what you're asking though.

I think if you know you're sticking with the stock blower, porting is the best thing you can do. I don't think you'll get much more out of Kong's X-Port (I think that's what I heard they call it) without at least a cam and pulleys, but that's just what I've read and seen on the interwebs. I'd probably pay for the full-send-porting just because. Depending on use, the stock blower gets and stay a little hot, but there are some fixes to that. It all depends on how you want to spend your money to go as fast as you want to.

Greg wins with the best advice. And I keep telling myself the same thing.

I was hoping someone was going to somehow be more persuasive.

It’s really up to you dbs. If you want more hp and you can afford it then go for it but 688 is a decent number in my opinion.

Don't bother. If you want to get to the next level (850+) then you'll have wasted your $ when you upgrade to a bigger blower.

Well, not completely wasted, he could sell a ported blower for a good bit, he just many not get ALL of his money back out of it. The OEM blower still sells very well for the LT1 guys that want to upgrade.

I had CSP install 755 package, bolt-ons you referred with 2” headers/off road mid pipe, netted 630/660 heat soaked pull.

A “Full Tilt” SC port by Jokerz was the center of my second set of mods (all mods in Sig). I’m at 700 to 730 whp depending on dyno. I know I’m out of fuel so no more mods unless I address that, but will say this set of mods (big gulp, 103 NW, port, retune and Boost Chiller) was really noticeable to me. IMO, I get best of all worlds…still stock driveability, 28 mpg cruising down highway in 10th gear and ability to beat most anything out there (plus the SC whines as loud as a Hellkitty!). I have no issues w heat but the boost chiller wasn’t cheap. All my dyno pulls were within 3 hp of each other with no cool downs…to me…a good place to stop…

These cars do not whine as loud as Hellcat when a Hellcat is equipped with an intake, not even close.
