What is the percentage difference between a Mustang dyno and a common Dynojet?

Trying to figure how much higher a Dynojet would read than a Mustang dyno? Recently had work done at a place that uses a Mustang dyno, which I have read gives significantly lower (closer to true) readings. Want to know how much higher a regular dyno would rate my car......

Also, when you compare to others you need to know if your numbers are uncorrected, SAE, or std and then you need to know what there numbers were based off. My numbers were low IMO, but then I saw the paper showed uncorrected.

Where did you have your mustang dyno run?

A dynojet dyno can read as much as 10% higher than some dynamic load dynos depending on settings

What’s important is what your car made on that Dyno before the work they did, and then what it made after.

In general Mustangs read a bit lower but there are too many variables to toss a number out there. That’s why comparing dyno runs on different dynos is silly.

Mustang Dynos can vary greatly, depending on the type of mustang dyno and how its setup. Some can read 5-10% lower and some can read %15 lower. Its best you ask what generally their dyno does compared to a dynojet. Alot of places with a mustang dyno will dyno the same car on a dynojet and then plug that % difference into their software so it spits out a dynojet number along with the mustang numbers.

That’s like asking what’s the difference between a blue shirt from Gucci and one from Walmart. Sure, one is always higher in price, but beyond that, too many variables. Heck, a Dyno Jet can vary significantly on the same car. As a very rough guess I’d say the difference on the same day under the same conditions would be 10-15% lower on the Mustang.

it really surprises me how many people have such a hard time grasping that different dynos are going to read differently. id much rather have a low dyno number to divulge. not to mention, the operator can print whichever dyno run you want on the graph...

edit: my contribution: the dyno my car was on (dyno dynamics) read 14-18% low when compared to some dynojets.

My mustang dyno reads 7% lower then the local dyno jet, we have tested 5-6 cars.
