50 mph to 150 mph pull difference with an 80 rwhp increase....?

Ok guys....If I ran exactly even with someone in a 50 to 150 rolling race, how many car lengths will I pull with an 80 rwhp increase in my ZL1 A10 ?

I think your underscoring what 80 rwhp can actually do...I would guess more like 4....But I don't know, which is why I asked. Lets see what some others think....

Where in the rpm range does the 80 HP increase show up? That is one of a whole bunch of variables that makes all of this just a pure guess. My guess would maybe 2 car lengths until aerodynamics take over.

Underscoring means highlighting or emphasizing right? Do you mean underrating, are you saying you think he can do better than that?

He is saying you may not be giving the added horsepower the credit it deserves.

I know this may seem picky, but horsepower is as follows:

BHP = brake horsepower = power at crankshaft measured on an engine dyno
WHP = wheel horsepower = power at rear wheels measured on chassis dynamometer

Since we're talking Camaros here, everyone knows it's rear wheel HP. I haven't seen any posts here talking about engine dyno numbers.

I’m so confused about this post.

I’m pretty sure everyone is on the same page and know we are talking WHP.

All really depends on what horses were used? We talking like donkeys or race horses?

This is a ridiculous statement. Obviously if we were talking about torque than of course we would be focusing on donkeys. Currently we are speaking primarily horse power so obviously race horses. Come on man!
