Which group? I doubt it since I hate Daytona but maybe.

Don't you have to have a comp license to run with them?

$700 for one day? :8

I didn't see anything on their website about license or experience required.

But at least there is no tech inspection...

David Murry's events are for experienced drivers. They fully expect people to be capable of making sure their car is safe.

They used to just run it as an open day, not sure if they still do that. But back then you could get 7 hours or whatever of track time if you really wanted to..

Do they enforce or check the experience of their drivers in any way?

On the website, it's a check box.

For Daytona...it's 4 hours of open track time.

Night event I assume then.

I don't recall it being validated but most of the experienced guys in an area know each other already. I'd suspect a new person might get looked at a bit.

Also, to be fair, basically no one in Florida does any real tech. PCA does the most.. and it's basically lugnut torque (and that's only if it's not a race car or someone they really know).. Chin is just a form you turn in. PBOC used to do some tech but I haven't run with them in many years.

I talked with them, told them my experience. I usually run with PDG, and they are very informal with just a tech form.

Yes, it is a night event. Will let you know how it goes.. Should be a fun under the lights.

Have fun, but be careful. It looks like you might have some rain up there this afternoon/evening.
Here in Brevard County too.

I've got footage from some of my 2:17 laps there....but unfortunately there's no PDR in my car.

Besides the speed it'll be pretty boring. Daytona is one of my least favorite tracks. RRR sucks more.. uhmm.. Homestead sucks too.. even PBIR is better than Daytona.

It's cool for the experience though. Raced there during a tropical depression/storm.. drove under a tire wall.. fun times. (not why I don't like it, it's just boring besides the speed)
