I’ll put a vote for katech.

Unless you want max effort acceleration, go pray, worth the wait

So many go GPI because they lose patience.. I think that’s a mistake

I think the question is really reliability. The VVT lifters are at the heart of the reliability question. I don't think the lifters were designed for racing. High performance runs, yes, but sustained wide open throttle can cause reliability issues.

I personally debated the question and I'm building a whole new engine.

I have two cams that i am trying to sell that are brand new in the boxes and both are great for stock stall in the A10. Got them both and decided to go with a bigger cam and actually get a converter in my A10. VVT2 from TSP and the SS1 from GPI. Shoot me a message

We used to maintain VVT in almost every scenario, but we found that the VVT became uncontrollable with certain cam lobe / valve spring combinations. It was more hassle than it was worth.

You can gain power everywhere in the curve without VVT, with the right combination.

It's too early for me yet, I was just bench racing for now. I'm running a 6M
