I thought the folks there were looking at the 1LE, not my parking job.

I would back up most of my full sized trucks as it was a pain to park front first without really swinging it around so that you're not sitting crooked. I do wish that the Camaro had the overhead camera system that is pretty stock in most new cars today. Would make it easy to park front or back, although as massive as the doors are on the Camaro, I also regularly back in as I can hug up on the passenger side driver figuring that they most likely won't have a passenger and the door won't be accessed. I try to avoid parking next to a driver's side door if I can help it.

It is The Way (tm).

After owning and driving tons of full sized pick-ups and long-nosed sports cars with low front bumpers... It's simply the best way to park.

Good points. The Camaro doors are massive. Thankfully I learned how to use my mirrors when backing up when I first started driving. You couldn't back up an old farm truck back in the day without being able to use them.

That's why I park next to the crosshatched spots when I can. I have to get the door open to the second stop before I can drag myself out easily. It's a struggle to get out at the first stop of the door opening.

I try to do that as well or park on the end spot. I feel you trying to get in and out of the car. At 58 I'm not near as limber as I used to be.

I'm sooo going to remember this when I start to wonder about trying to get in and out of the Camaro, "if an army cop has trouble getting in and out..." I have to be honest though, for me it's more about getting in and out without tearing up the side bolsters on the Recaros. My ass is the curb to the side bolsters of my poor Recaros...

I am actually better at backing into spots than I am at swinging into spots. Go figure.

When I do pull into a spot, I do have a good idea where my splitter is so I don't hit it, but it does seem inevitable that the splitter will get destroyed for one reason or another.

Easy Exit helps, though it is a bit slow. In tighter spots, however, it is worth the wait and makes a big difference.

Got a universal homelink system installed. This has been about the only thing that I didn’t like about my car was having to have remotes on my visor. So I found this homelink kit on Amazon and with some very nervous moments cutting into my new cars upper console I have (what looks almost like it came that way) a homelink system.

Excellent job, congrats Even better than the "real thing", since this one has a different number of dots for each button (my OEM homelink button set has the same single dot on each).
